Current and Upcoming Activities Justin is currently in rehearsal for the Theatre for a New Audience production of The Broken Heart, a 1629 tragic-comic gem written by John Ford, (Tis Pity She's a Whore). Selina Cartmell will direct this off-broadway premiere of the play. Performances at The Duke on 42th Street are scheduled for February 4 - March 4, 2011. Recent Performances Justin recently performed the role of Willoughby in Sense and Sensibility, presented by Actors Theatre of Louisville. The play was Jon Jory's witty new adaptation of Jane Austen's classic tale of flirtation and folly. Justin performed to positive reviews in the title role of Henry V. The New York Classical Theatre's production of Henry V began in England (Castle Clinton in Battery Park), traveled across the English Channel (New York Harbor) by ferry to France (Castle Williams on Governors Island) and the bloody Battle of Agincourt (Fort Jay Parade Ground). The audience followed the "warrior king" and the cast of 50 actors from place to place, as the plot unfolded from scene to scene, allowing the spectators to become active participants in the drama itself. Justin recently filmed the PBS/Middlemark Films production of "Mystery of Matter: Marie Curie," in which he played Andre DeBierne, a young graduate student in chemistry who helps Marie Curie in her efforts to extract radium from pitchblende. Check back for dates the show will air. Justin just was recently featured in the Theatre for a New Audience production of Macbeth. Justin was featured in the role of Malcolm. The play enjoyed rave reviews and was sold out through the entire run. Justin recently completed performing in Red Bull Theater's production of The Witch of Edmonton, in which he played the role of Frank Thorney. The play is a Jacobean tragicomedy directed by Jesse Berger, featuring a witch, a fool, a young man, his two wives, an angry mob, and one very devilish dog. Red Bull Theatre held its Gala Benefit Performance on Sunday January 30th, followed by an after party. He recently completed a reading of Vania and Sonio and Masha and Spike, a new work written and directed by Christopher Durang at the McCarter Theatre. He perfomed the role of Spike. He performed in the award-winning ensemble of Stan Richardson's VERITAS in the 2010 New York Fringe Festival. The play was completely sold out prior to the start of the Festival and over a week before the first performances for the show. In 2010, Justin starred in the title role in New York Classical Theater's production of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark and as Laertes in the Shakespeare Festival St. Louis production of Hamlet. Justin performed in the pre-Broadway workshop of Zorba where he was featured in the role of Nikos, along with Antonio Banderas as Zorba, Chita Rivera as the Leader, Deanna Dunnigan as Madame Hortense, and Alexandra Silber as The Widow. The workshop was directed by David Leveaux and produced by Fran and Barry Weissler. Zorba features the music of John Kander, the lyrics of Fred Ebb, as well as a book by Joseph Stein. Justin was also featured in the critically-acclaimed world premier of Paula Vogel’s new play, A Civil War Christmas, at the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven. Additionally, Justin recently completed in a successful run in Argonautika, a play directed by Tony award-winner Mary Zimmerman. The play was featured at Berkeley Repertory Theatre (Berkeley, CA), the Shakespeare Theatre Company (Washington, DC), and the McCarter Theatre Center (Princeton, NJ). Justin was seen in the roles of Hylas/Dymas in this epic tale of Jason and the Argonauts and their quest for the golden fleece. Making his Broadway debut in the critically-acclaimed and award-winning ensemble cast of Journey's End, Justin performed the role of 2nd Lt. Hibbert. Journey's End won the Tony Award for "Best Revival of a Play" and also won top honors in the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids Annual Easter Bonnet Competition talent show. Justin guest starred as Agent Mayhem on Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. Justin was featured as Phillip in The Babel Theatre Project's presentation of Bekah Brunstetter's You May Go Now. Teaming up with director Heath Cullens, Justin co-starred in The Middleman. The film was accepted into competition at the 2007 LA Shorts Festival.
