Hamlet - New York

Overview

The sketch (above) by Julia Sverchuk was inspired by New York Classical Theatre's production of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, starring Justin Blanchard in the title role. The play featured the company's signature staging style, panoramic theatre, as audience members entered the world of the play as they followed the actors from place to place throughout nearly 3.5 acres of the World Financial Center. The play was directed by Stephen Burdman, who has received numerous accolades and awards for his staging of classical plays in non-traditional settings both in New York and Los Angeles.
